Privacy
Last updated October 11, 2026
This site is run by the students of VEX V5 team 2360A Arachnid at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, Illinois. It has no accounts, no forms, no ads and no cookies. This page explains the little that is collected when you visit.
Visitor statistics
We use two tools to count visits: Vercel Web Analytics, which shows us the last month, and GoatCounter, which keeps a running total over the years. Neither uses cookies or stores your IP address. For each page view they record the page, the site that linked you here, your approximate location (such as country and region), and your browser, operating system and device type or screen size. To tell repeat views apart, Vercel uses a temporary code made from your request and discards it after 24 hours, and GoatCounter keeps a similar code in memory for up to 8 hours. We only see totals, such as how many people visited this week. We can't see who you are.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's servers receive your IP address and browser details in order to send you the page and protect the site from abuse. Vercel handles that data under itsprivacy policy.
Videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube and Google may collect information underGoogle's privacy policy.
Stored in your browser
The site saves one setting in your browser's session storage so the opening animation only plays once per visit. It is never sent to us and is cleared when you close the tab.
Competition results
The "This season" section shows our public results from the official VEX events site. Our server fetches them; no information about you is sent.
If you email us at arachnid2360a@gmail.com, we get your email address and whatever you write. We only use it to reply and don't share it. Our inbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).
Links to other sites
We link to Instagram, YouTube, the VEX events site, our sponsors and other sites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
What we don't do
We don't sell or share personal information, we don't run ads, and we don't use tracking pixels or follow you across other websites.
Children
The site is for a general audience and doesn't ask anyone for personal information. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has emailed us, contact us and we'll delete it.
Team members
The names, photos and bios of team members are posted by the team. If you are a team member or a parent and want anything changed or removed, email us and we will take care of it.
Questions and changes
Questions or requests go to arachnid2360a@gmail.com. If we change what the site collects, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
